So what are your personal views on first day voting?

I've been a supporter of no votes for the first days for a while, as it most often results in the townie ranks decreasing and the scum sliding by.

Any pro-vote arguments?

I'm usually for no voting on first days as we don't know anything, but I prefer it when people do vote and there's a banter...gives cops and others something to work with on Day 2.

I think we need talk.

But here, we need convictions.  The time hack really forces our hand.

No votes are worse than no lynches.
vote generate discussion which is something the town needs.

The only time to no vote is when there are three town and one scum left.
I believe that when you have a problem, you talk it over with your priest, or your tailor, or the mute elevator porter at your men's club, and you take that problem and crush it with your mind vice. But for lesser beings like curly-haired men and people who need glasses, therapy can help.

the vast majority of 'no votes' on day one is why i like games that start with night phases.

maybe the way to start with a night phase is to give the cop and villan roleblocker a head start.

I like day one lynches, it can force scum to tip their hands.  theres also a slight chance that we hit scum, which is random and good.

Except the banter at least gives cops something to go on, and the town doesn't already start at a disadvantage.  If you start with a night phase, someone doesn't even get the chance to play.

Guess now that I'm dead - Dammit- I'll start thinking of my idea for my theme.  I was going to go with a Tarantino/Rodriguez theme using their characters but I think I'll go with my second idea for now.

Is CV still next, then Janitor or has anything changed.

Very interesting how you can see things develop when you're just spectating the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm into the Joe game, but it hust seem like others aren't.

It hurts some that Janitor's disappeared and there's so few people left.

I don't know what's going on with it.

Yeah, the site started with a flurry of activity, but has really died down over the last couple of weeks.

Not to Toot my own horn here Cap, but I've tried starting a few threads aroiund the tavern to get people actually Discussing things on a discussion board site.  Guess I need to start more that are more interesting and worthy of discussion.  They start off well, then just die off.  Guess , I'm not a great conversation starter, sombody else start some threads.  Lets get this place hoppin again.!!!

Yeah, the site started with a flurry of activity, but has really died down over the last couple of weeks.

I kind of blame myself and my lack of movie reviews to add external content.  I've just had a hard time putting my heart into anything I write lately...frigging emotional problems.
