From what I read Deathly Hollows should be action packed and they're making it into two parts.

I'll puke, eat it and freak you. Battle? I'm too weeded to speak to. The only key I see to defeat you would be for me to remove these two Adidas and beat you. Force feed you them both and on each feet is a cleet shoe.

You kids are insane. Half-Blood Prince was easily the best Potter film yet. Waaay more mature and far less fanciful than the previous installments and featured actual character development. It was also a lot darker and more stylistic, and the acting from most of the cast was brilliant. The scenes with Harry and Ginny in the Room of Requirement and Harry and Dumbledore in the underground lake were f**king marvelous.

The only problem is, at this point in the franchise, you pretty much have to have read the books, otherwise everything becomes a mess.

The underground lake scene and Malfoy getting dummied by Sectum Sempra were the only scenes worth watching IMO. The rest was slow and boring. Ginny looks like she's 12 so I wasn't into that. On the bright side, Emma seems to be developing. :sarcastic:

There's a difference between slow and boring and actual plotting. The Ginny and Harry scene was brilliant because of the character development. As for the rest of the film, the brooding atmosphere and music perfectly fit the darker tones of the story, and I liked how Yates put much of the focus on Draco coming into his own, because he is an integral part of the last book.

You gotta look at the film as a whole, instead of just expecting everyone to be casting spells at each other for two hours.

Well...to each their own. That Dumbledore scene was kool I guess. I knew Snape was a slimey bastard. I didn't read this book or the last one.

I am going to have to jump on the band wagon with everyone else and say that I was not wowed by the Half  Blood Prince either. It wasn't a bad movie, but coming off the heels of Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince just felt....less.

having to read the books as a pre-requisite to watching the movie is ridiculous.

i rate the harry potter movies as movies, not as books. "character development" in the film that is not grasped unless you've read the book simply means one thing - the movie SCRIPT is not well done. Blab all you want about these being the best HP movies - that's an immediate gauge to single out HP fanbois. these movies are boring, plain and simple. Movie fans go for well done, self-contained films like the 3rd or 4th installment... either of which is candidate for the best in the series.

Hold up ... you're giving me shit for seeing character development when you obviously couldn't? Well excuse the fuck out of me.

Saying it's the best of the series makes me a fanboy, and then you immediately say what you thought were the best? Yeah, that's a believable argument.

Saying that movie fans go for self-contained films mean nothing when those films are part of an ongoing series, and like any good series, it requires development as it goes along, otherwise the characters remain flat and one-dimensional. None of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies are self-contained. If you're butthurt that our tastes differ, fine, but don't assume for one second that I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Everyone has their own opinion on movies. Let's not get too heated fellas. :sarcastic:

Anyway, I watched it again and it wasn't so bad the second time around. Malfoy is a sissy though.

I think we all should sit down, crack open a beer, eat some nachos and watch another movie. How about it?

I have plans to watch Iron Man for the umpteenth time. I guess I just really like that Tony Stark swagger.

I watched the Hulk the other day. I love how the Military computers say Stark Industries all over the display.

I never watched the Hulk movies. The trailers didn't really grab me. The first Hulk was Eric Bana (I think) and the second was the guy from American History X (oh, and Fight Club...Edward Norton or something)? Pfft...that money stayed right in my wallet. And since I don't rent movies hardly ever, I just never got around to seeing them. Did I miss out?

Alright let's put it to a rest. No one should be arguing or intentionally offending people here, on this website. If you posted an image to offend him he had a right to remove the post. This is a place of peace and fun. Let's get back to what movies we've recently watched and talk about them with  happy and cheerful grammar.   :neo:

So basically not another word about it or I take the gloves off.  :drinks:
