Alright, I'm feeling generous so this will be an easy one.

1. I made history in what is now known as France, and I wrote it too.

Yes it is! I guess more people know about the Gallic Wars than I thought.

Yeah the Romans hit those boys with their own pimp.  But they went down fighting.  I recently saw something on history.  That last stand they made at wherever it is (can't remember the name) where they tried to call in some calvalry against the Romans but Caesar outsmarted them and was simultaneously keeping the inside folks in and the calvalry out.

The military strategy was 10 kinds of crucial.

Free turn. I give it to Gumbo if he wants it.

Hmmmm....Ok.

Actually, I got nothing.   Anyone else?
Fishing, like sex, has certain requirements that must be met in order to say you've done it.  If not met, then you're just fumbling with your rod.

You're looking for one of two.  I knew one (John Quincy Adams) and did a search to see if there were others. Andrew Johnson served in the Senate for a few months before incurring a stroke.

Clue #1: I was a real smart guy before being smart was either cool OR safe.

Clue #2: This other guy learned from me about the same time; somewhat directly, somewhat indirectly.  He was pretty darn smart too.
